Arising a tad dusty after a big night on and around Bijou, a shower was taken. The night was a good bonding session for Dave and I, we both got to know each other better.
The day was to see me line handle in the canal for a young English and Aussie couple on their way to Lake MacQuarie.
Anyway the Canal Authority canned it and we didn't go. The day was mine.
I decided to ride to the Gatun locks and take a few photos and generally do a bit of exercise.
The ride was through Jungle on a paved road, most relaxing.
I wont write much about this but will put a few photos here to show you what was seen at the locks.

Accommodation when the US had the canal, now rendered uninhabitable by Panamanian authorities. Dozens of these dwellings are here and at the Pacific end.

She is now on her own, note mules at end of their track. A tug is alongside picking up the Canal de Panama pilot who was in charge of the vessel throughout the transit.
