18/2/2013 Ibarra to Otavalo, Ecuador
D18, T1.14, Av14.18,Max63, Tot11422, 1222
Cool, overcast with scattered showers
Devon and I knew we had an easy day ahead, he had heard about a great hostel in Otavalo. Hiro was heading further south due to time restrictions.
We took our time getting up and having breakfast, it was raining as well.
Hiro was taking note of our cooking gear as he had none.
We enjoyed watching a movie I took of the run down from Bolivar, it was great footage, being on a Go Pro everything looked a lot faster than it was.
It was an easy slightly uphill ride to Otavalo. We said goodbye to Hiro, Devon may see him again, I am taking a different road.
Otavalo is a high altitude Ecuadorian town with paved narrow streets and many people in traditional clothing. A few beers were bought and we settled into our lodgings for the day and did a bit of washing among other things. This was great accommodation , we decided to stay for a couple of days.
