A man on foot, on horseback or on a bicycle will see more, feel more, enjoy more in one mile than the motorized tourists can in a hundred miles.

Unable to leave the marina till customs had done their procedural activities, the morning was spent assembling the bike. The journey for five days on the foredeck in torrential rain and white water covering the wrapper had not impacted on it much to my delight. The leather seat had done a bit of sweating but other than that it was in good shape.
Mid morning saw Dave and I part company, heading into town a motel, the Colonial was booked, a great affair my room had 5 beds in it needless to say it was roomy. It had ceiling fans and for my money they beat air con any day especially when coming to dry clothing which I had strung up all over the room.
In that respect life is getting back to normal with my Ortlieb bowl serving as a tub in the shower.
On high speed the fans also restrict all but only the most skilled mosquitos from landing on me. On that subject there were a couple of adept pilots about.
All my gear was pulled from the panniers to air, it had been very damp aboard Bijou.I had grabbed a bit of basic food but left most of my unused provisions for Dave.
This town is so relaxed and the people are so friendly, it is nice to be speaking Spanish all day again. My Spanish still needs alot of work but my heart is in it so thats ok.
In the town square and everywhere venders are selling coffee from thermos flasks @ 25c its great. A bunch of people in the parks shouted me a coffee, out of respect I sat with them for awhile having a chat, such a great introduction to this, at first impressions wonderful country.
The people are so friendly, not loud and ever so helpful.
My hotel is 100 m from the beach and downtown at $20/ night it is great.
With internet in the room one is pretty much self contained.
One can feel very rich here from a numeric point of view when 10,000 pesos is only US$5.
Coca cola is 60c a bottle, this is kind of a baromenter for the cost of other things.
The rest of the day was spent relaxing .
